Bug Fixes
Major
- Only the first page of bible readings would display correctly over background images
- Pasting a song to the playlist from the clipboard could crash Words of Worship
- When certain settings or file locations were changed, Words of Worship would try to reinstall. With a download version the installer could not be located, leading to an inability to start Words of Worship through the Start Menu shortcut.
- A bug in Microsoft's Jet database engine could cause the indexer application to crash on exit when songs have long path names
Unusual
- Multiple file changes in a QuickPick folder caused the interface to appear to hang (such as copying a large number of files into a QuickPick folder or bulk importing into an existing QuickPick folder)
- Selecting Revert on an unsaved document caused a crash
- Windows Explorer / My Computer's New menu created invalid Words of Worship documents
- At certain sizes blank lines could appear between lines of a song on the operator's preview window
- In the evaluation version opening a Words of Worship file by double-clicking on it in Windows Explorer caused the file to open in a hidden window (opening a second file would then show it)
Inconvenient
- Couldn't set style of final line / block when cursor was at end of file when editing Song / Liturgy
- Sometimes if your mouse was right on the edge of a toolbar button it showed the tooltip from the adjacent button
- Fixed a unreported bug in RTF import that could cause a problem when importing songs in a certain format
- Could crash when an invalid filename was passed on command line to be opened at startup
Version 5.0.8 fixed a couple of major bugs worth noting. Upgrade to version 5.1 if you encounter either of these symptoms:
- Words of Worship could crash when a file was deleted or changed and not updated in the index; recreating the index could work around this problem
- Saving new Liturgy sometimes reported an empty document when it wasn't
